Served Toyotomi Hideyoshi
When his father was kidnapped by a clan enemy he retaliated by killing everyone he knew to be involved (sadly his father was still killed)
Served as the head of the Date clan
Tokugawa Ieyasu
Founded the tokugawa shogunate which had the capital in Edo
After Hideyoshi’s death, Ieyasu rose to power after the battle of Sekigahara in 1600
Ieyasu banned christianity, and even executed some native Christians to prove a point
Secluded the country from all foreigners, except for minimal trade with the dutch and chinese at the port city of Nagasaki
Honda Tadakatsu
Served Tokugawa Ieyasu nearly his whole life and fought in nearly all of his battles
Toyotomi Hideyoshi respected Tadakatsu’s bravery, and let him go in a battle where he outnumbered him at least 50 or 60 to one
He was known for his famous helmet which had deer horns on either side of the helmet.

He encouraged foreign trade to other countries
He banished peasants from having weapons, because he was paranoid of Rebellions
He dispatched 160,000 men to Korea in 1592 to invade because Korea refused to have diplomatic ties
He built castles inspired by the portuguese and European constructions
